the Plateau is a magical place

i just got finished with a bike ride at the plateau. this is a place i love to go to and run. it is just a stones throw from my home in Murrieta. as i was biking i came around the bend and noticed two horseback riders just standing still. i thought that they were waiting for me. i stopped also. as they approached they told me that there was a big bob cat sunning himself on a rock. i got off my bike and walked it to the place where the horseback riders had stopped. i could see the rock, but was that really a bob cat? i could not tell. a runner ran up the rise and i started to tell her. she said that it was a big one. i still could not tell. it wasn't like he was off in the distance, he was right there but i wanted to see for sure. suddenly he popped his head up and i could see his head and his ears were erect. he must have gotten tired of our chatter so off he went and i got to see what i was waiting for, the bob cat tail.

to date, i have seen too many a rattle snake. tarantulas, rabbits galore, coyotes up to 5 at a time. many deer, a skunk up close and personal, a fox, the coveted cougar and now finally the bob cat. what a great ride, great day and wonderful treat!

yesterday went well also. i warmed up by running for 20 minutes and then pulled the tire to equal an hour and cooled down for 20 minutes more. since i was at shawna's i really had to watch myself and my eating. i am happy to report that it was a successful day. i had no candy. shawna's house is the goodie house and i know where she keeps the stash. i ate a good lunch, had Golden Spoon chocolate and cake batter size- mini. and starbucks for dinner.
