part of my training for Western States is learning how to fall. and doing so with no tears. (still working on that part)i had a great training run Saturday morning as part of the Winter Trail Running Series. there happens to be a gold mine of trails just a short drive from where i live. this is where i am training for States. my run on Saturday was on single track trails with some very technical parts. this is not where i fell however. i went "free falling" on the most runnable down hill section of the course. my friend who was running behind me was just ready to yell "slow down, you're going too fast" then boom, bang!
i did make it to the finish to tell my tale, alive and very well to run again another day.
had a great day with friends. jeff ran with his 10 year old son max who beat over half the field. chell'b won for the women's. kyle took third over all. it was a great day with friends.
