i have had such a crappy weekend as far as running goes. my long run was not much of a long run at all. i had to miss my planned run because i just could not get over the darn flu. today i ran the top portion of Clinton Keith which is the hill that i love to hate. it was just short of a two mile climb. i thought for sure i'd be walking a bit. i was very happy to make it in a strength shot. it went something like this..."come on, just make it to the next telephone pole. get your head up. almost to the memorials. hard part left. three more poles. two and then just one. yeah, i did it!" and now for a nice run down hill. about a 5 mile run in all. much better then i had anticipated.
i went to pilates this afternoon. wow! what a trip!!! i am not even sure how to describe it. yes, there is stretching involved. yes there is resistance too. i did not like it much while doing it but i felt so good when i was finished. i was able to work muscles that i could not get to in the gym. you work your body while it is aligned and you work it as a whole. i am going back on thursday.
my eating is still going good. go ahead, pat me on the back! ;)
