i had a successful day at the Diamond Valley Marathon. i met some awesome and inspiring runners, one of which is going through cancer treatment. having not been able to train for this event, i was very happy with my even pace throughout. you can check it out at http://www.turborunz.com/diamondvalleymarathon.htmli also had a mile stone of sorts. after the race i went to eat with my training partner and instead of eating anything in sight, i was able to make good food choices and no soda, no dessert.
the next day i went out for 45 minutes and felt good. not sore but a bit sluggish. today i mountain biked for 50 minutes and this afternoon i had an hour of Pilates. i was able to incorporate some Pilates breathing into my marathon. i think it helped. i also used the Pilates Roll Down that i leaned after i finished. when i got home i did some good stretching and put my feet up against the wall for ten minutes to drain any lactic acid from my legs. i felt great and was not sore at all.
