my tire, Hodges and a 60 mile week

83 days
and counting

pulling my tire up a hill this week

this has turned out to be a great training week for me. i have been visiting my chiropractor regularly and i seem to be getting some relief. i have put in a full week of training and a 50k and i am ready to start all over again tomorrow.

i feel very fortunate to have met two of Georges really good friends, Andy and Mari Boyd. Mari is the race director for Bishop High Sierra which i will be running this year. after the 50K we all went in the hot tub and George took us out to dinner where i got to hear great old stories from the Western States trail. Mari's favorite post race meal is Chinese so we went there. the fortunes they all gave to me....

Risk may cause failure, but success cannot come without it.

my instructions were to put these on my mirror. i will!

Great picture!! YOu look like you are on fire with concentration and determination. Keep that spirit and you will do well at WS. I have no doubt you will do well there and I am sure with the training, nutrition and all the other aspects you are paying attention to you will be a happy camper on June 25th.
