my rockin trail run

86 days
and counting

so i can't sing like an A I rockstar, but i can run like a rockstar! yesterday i went out for a little run. my goal... 10 miles. well maybe 2 hours since i would be pulling my tire for the first half. it went something like this...

after hooking myself up to the oh so cute tire, i was off. and feeling pretty good too. one thing that i really enjoy about the tire is that it forces me to have great posture and form. i came upon two hikers and i could see their eyes widen and they actually stepped aside to let me pass.( with plenty of room for the three of us) i love it when i run by people and such types as mountain bikers. i feel tough, like a stallion! i completed the first loop in 35 minutes and took off for another. total time 1 hour and 10 minutes for 5.5 miles. i could have chosen to finish up my run with just 50 more minutes on a nice flat trail but i had enough water and was feeling pretty perky so i went up and up some more. stopping occasionally to take in the view. i wish that i could share it with each of you.

after the storms from Tuesday, the air was left sparkling clear. as i ran up the switchbacks, the mountains were rising with me. i could see the plateau looking like a sweep of green grey carpet with the three mountains framing it. Mt. Baldy, Arrowhead and Mt San Jacinto. two of which were tipped with snow. i live for days to run like this.

my A I thoughts... looks like i nailed it~

all roads lead to Auburn!
