i spent saturday running the 50K at the Orange Curtain. i ran this race last year also. the race itself is not enjoyable, in fact it is down right boring... that is what makes it so fun!you get to spend the day goofing off with your friends and making new ones too. after all, we do see each other multiple times on the course. out and back, out and back, out and back, out and back and as jeff would say... wash, rinse, repeat. you get the picture!
my time was 6:31. i felt good at the end. i am happy with my run. i finished out the week with about 46 miles and last week i ran 53. my back did not bother me which was surprising. i tried to run in the dirt as much as possible and spent most of the time there. you can catch my report here. http://www.turborunz.com/oc1.html next saturday i will be back at the WTRS.
