yesterday found me snug in my pajamas all day and night long. someone decided that it would be fun to do a block exchange for the corbin family christmas party. a block exchange for those of you who make fun of my quilting (andy) is where you make a block for everyone and exchange it for one that they have made. there are 15 participating so i will end up with 15 different quilt blocks made by "corbins".
i started mine in november. good thinking. but i do have a tendency to procrastinate. my block happens to be very detailed (i do think that i enjoy torturing myself) and i was very happy to have them all finished by yesterday, mid-day. i called my sister-in-law and said "joni, what is the final measurement of these blocks supposed to be?" she said "12 and a half." and i said "*#$%" mine were 12 even. so for the rest of the day i had to cut down my blocks and add a new boarder.
i think to reward myself, i will go and run a nice rocken out 5 this morning. here is a picture of my blocks. isn't it great to cross-train?
