first post injury run. drum roll please!

after two weeks of staying off my ankle, i am very excited to get out this morning for a 2.5 mile spin in the woods. i will walk when needed and i am hoping that all goes well. my friend jeff (finisher dude) suggested a balance board to strengthen things up again. i will have to check it out. things are feeling much better down there but i am still swollen and it is very hard. will i ever be able to wear cute shoes again? my goal for the coming week, to enter way too cool and to set up a training schedule.

this picture btw was taken two weeks ago after crawling, walking and slogging an additional 18 miles on it. i took my shoe off and found this. i had no idea. duh!

Too bad to hear about your ankle. Are you looking to buy a balance board? If not they are surprisingly easy to make yourself. Although, it might be a bit trickier with a sprained ankle.
