my first "must have" for MDS

we had a great time running out at Diamond Valley Lake yesterday. this is such a great place to do a long training run. it is mostly dirt path and very little hills, unless you want to jump onto the horse trail that runs above. to run all the way around the lake it is about 21 miles. on a clear winter day, you just cant beat this. you are high enough to feel completely away from town and you can see the mountains close by. the water is gorgeous and there is fishing out on the lake. great for a bike ride too.
this is the first item that i own that will be going to MDS with me. my Moeben sleeves. these things are great. i take them along with me when i am not too sure about the temperature. when long sleeves are too much these sleeves are always the right choice. plus, when i wear a pack, there is no messing with having to take off a jacket of long sleeve shirt. i just pull off my Moeben sleeves and tie them to my strap. when i hit the shade of some wind, they are handy to pull back on. easy, light and functional. i love them! you can find them here.

Hey, those look like the sleeves we got "free" from Western States for 2008. Not much call for them in these Florida parts, but I reckon I'll cart them out to Squaw with me in June.
