TFTD

i received an email today from my friend Heather Ulrich. it was "The Thought For The Day". i liked it so much that i thought i would share...

"I am willing to put myself through anything; temporary pain or discomfort means nothing to me as long as I can see that the experience will take me to a new level. I am interested in the unknown, and the only path to the unknown is through breaking barriers, an often painful process."

~Diane Nyad~

this came after a long and painfully slow 20 mile run that i had to endure today. lucky for me, my good friend George came down to help me out. "thanks George, i appreciate it!"

i have been enjoying the cooler weather and last Saturday had a wonderful run with my daughter Taylor who was down for a very short visit. man, that girl can talk! i have been planting seeds... i want her to run St. Geroge next October. i am thinking about going back after taking a few years off. it will be my 6th one.

i am very excited to be leaving for MDS camp on Wednesday. sad to leave my family but so excited to learn details about this crazy stage race that i have signed up for.

so....

good luck to all my friends who are running San Diego 100 this weekend. that would be you Gabor and Pat and Adam and Big Bill and Andy. anyone else???? hope the weather is good and you all enjoy the alternate course.
