at camp it was suggested to me that i get some speed work in. i have not stepped foot on the track in almost two years and speed work is something that i have been avoiding. it's hard and it's boring, but i went.
i took what i learned at camp and i applied it to my workout. i started with an easy mile warm up and then 2X800. just to mix things up a bit i ran steps and did some frog hops (just like Lisa) and then 3 minutes of jump rope. back to the track i did two more 800's and bagged the steps and the rope. (it's harder then is appears!) i concentrated on my last two 800's and then a cool down.
i was happy with my times although slower then they use to be, i felt strong and consistent improving as i went. i will be back to do some more next week.
tomorrow it's back to my tire! can't wait!!!
