focus, breath and run with a purpose. BHS 2007

it was a beautiful day in Bishop. they say it was hot but i did not notice. i loved this race, it was marked well and the aid stations rocked! i decided to drop down to the 50K because i have a big mileage weekend planned for this week and i wanted to be fresh. i ran this race with a purpose but did not race it or push. i met all my goals and am feeling confident about WS. you can read about my race here.

today i went out for a short hour run and felt really good. tomorrow i will do some pilates and a track workout. Wednesday will be some easy trail running. Thursday more pilates. Friday i will take off and this weekend i will be attending the Western States training camp where i will run the last 70 miles of the Western States course over a three day period. my goal is to get as much of this in as possible and to come away feeling 100% confident in my ability.

oh, and one more thing.... not that i was fast or anything like that, but i did beat everyone else behind me and earned a 2nd place age division award at Bishop. imagine that!

all trails lead to Auburn! Rock on!
