It has been written that the sky on
Mt. Whitney can be so blue that it hurts!
I have found this to be true!
It is also been written that on a quiet day the weather on the Whitney Trail is the most perfect you'll find on earth; on a bad day, it will kill you. Simple as that.

Dear Taylor,
Thank you for a day that will not soon be forgotten. If it were not for your enthusiasm, I might not have ever made the trip. I can say for sure that there isn't another person who I would have wanted to spend this day with! We made new friends and experienced many discomforts. You are an absolutely incredible young woman and you out climbed many with more experience than you! I am very proud of what you accomplished. You are strong beyond words and never even thought of giving up. I am glad that we did this together.
I love you, Mom

We started our journey at 4:00am and summited in 7 hours and 41 minutes. We made friends along the way and spent some time enjoying the beautiful day that we were so blessed with.
Taylor looking up at where she is headed! WOW!
Up on the switchbacks. 97 to be exact!
A triumphant Taylor with a headache!

Taylor makes a friend on the mountain. Noah is only 16 years old and summited with his cousin Chris and his absolutely incredible grandmother!
On the way down. Almost done.
We finished just after 5:30.
I will have more to come....
