a portrait in courage, no really!

this is a picture of my friend John Bozung. nice, huh???? he broke his nose last Saturday while he was running the Top of Utah Marathon. he was only about a quarter of a mile into the race when he tripped on the un-even road and went down face first, and skidded! after he was helped to the side of the road and the paramedics had a look at him, he was on his way saying that he has never DNF'd a marathon before and wasn't about to now.


this is what he looked like as he ran the next 26 miles. his wife even had to scrounge a straw for him because he could not drink from the cups. way to go John! next time i trip and skin my knee i will think of you! John did go to the ER after the race and received 35 stitches.
