Good Morning from Panamint

Lisa and her very good friend Marshall Ulrich enter
Stove Pipe Wells together at mile 41.2

some exciting news hit at Stove Pipe Wells yesterday. race officials were all a buzz with the news that 395 which is the main highway thru Lone Pine was closed down. there was no choice but to have the racers pass Panamint and at a certain point turn around for a final out and back. no sooner were the changes made and as Sister Mary Beth heard the news she sent her prayers heaven bound and the course was re-opened--all with in a matter of a few hours. Lisa is convinced that it was a miracle.

it is 5:00 am here at Panamint Springs. I have some pictures for you. I last left Lisa at 4:00 am and she was doing very well.

the sun sets as they enter Stove Pipe

Lisa wants her students to know that even she takes ice baths!
it is like bad medicine but very necessary. this is at Stove Pipe.

just beyond the summit of Townes Pass, Lisa takes some R and R.
Sister is ever ready by her side as she stations her self as sentinel.
her quilt is keeping her cozy as she tries to stay warm.

can it get even worse???? Frightening

Panamint Springs is mile 72 or so in the course. on the course. Lisa is expected in a few hours.

keep up on all the latest news at Lisa's 810
