MDS! this is my story and i am sticking to it :)

My MDS Finish! 152 Miles

it was truly the best of times and the worst of times all mixed in together. i felt both happiness and sadness, great camaraderie's and complete loneliness! i was truly inspired and scared to death. i felt totally alive and vibrant and both sick and tired. i experienced incredible joy and also great pain! i was so thankful to be there and also very grateful to live where i do! it is so good to be home again but i will never forget time i spent in the desert of Morocco.

MDS was an experience that i will never forget and one that is a bit hard to let go of. only those who have done it will understand. it was definitely not a party but tent #71 came together with great support of one another. i would like to thank my tent mates for encouraging me in my journey. each one played a role in this. Kira, your greeting back at camp after Stage 1 was just what the Doctor ordered. starting off sick was not in the plans but your cheery attitude made all the difference in the world! Steven, i was so glad to be tent mates with you. Perseverance should be your middle name and watching you finish Stage 4 was very exciting! Greg, a true gentleman and a pleasure to hang around. how many Mr. Hollywood's are as nice and modest as you are! and to the South African brothers, Martin and Christo (not really brothers) you two are too cute for words. friends for 14 years, came to play in the sand together and always greeted me with kindness! and Patrick, way over on the other side....a veteran among rookies. you had to put up with us and were always willing to offer help and advice! and to George who stayed with me while i was ill and helped me in anyway possible, always there to keep me safe. it's funny how we can laugh at things that seemed so huge at the time. i think Lisa and Colleen called us Frick and Frack. great description.

i was touched by many along the way and as i pull my thoughts together this next week i will try to recount everything for those who are interested. i think a few of these people may inspire you too.

glad to be back home and eternally grateful for the journey that i was able to take. LC

Welcome back to the world. I think I left pretty much every thing in tact here. It was indeed an honor and a privilege to keep your fans appraised of your goings on.

Good to see/hear Run Across Desert Sands is still playin on your music list... :)
