girl power at Catalina Foothills, Tucson

Lisa, Annabella and ma are showing our "girl Power" as we had a morning workout through the beautiful neighborhoods of the Catalina Foothills. this is really a neat town. much bigger then i thought. Lisa and Jay have an outstanding view of Tuscon from their backyard and another amazing view of the Catalina's out their front. i really enjoyed my visit with Jay and Lisa and the girls, Annabella and Gabby. they are so sweet and entertaining. every morning i awoke to Gabby singing her version of "doe a deer" mixed with "a b c d..." it was great!
this is a shot of the start of our hike up Finger Rock Trail. if anyone is traveling out that way, this is a must. i would devote a good portion of the day to do it. George and i were out there for over 7 hours and climbed up to 7,900 feet. i did not realize that Tuscon had mountains. very rocky and scary on some parts. it was an awesome day! George has more pictures on his camera but he is in Louisiana with Lisa visiting her dad so you will have to wail till he gets back.

also, i had fun this weekend as i was updated on all the drama at Rocky Raccoon. first a big shout out to Badwater and MDS diva Kira! WOW, 21 hours. stupendous girlfriend! very proud of you!!! and fellow camp-mate Bill. seems he did the ultra his way and spent a few days in an undisclosed location. so glad to hear that you are ok. no more Advil! crazy canuck! sounds like a great day with lots of PR's. Meredeth, great race! Ed, fantastic. Marc and Tanya were moving! i got reports on just about everyone. way to go!

Shea was home for the weekend for a bridal shower. things seem to be coming together. i do not recommend a wedding and MDS all in the same month. or even the same year for that matter. it was great to have Shea home for a quick trip!

Hi Leigh!

You sure were missed at the RR races, there were 45 Dreamchasers running:) As you know I ran with Ed, his 1st 50..he did great! Ted won the 50 and most had best times on the course. Love the photo with Annabella, she is such an amazing child..I look forward to seeing the rest of the photos from your trip. MDS here you come...amazing group of you all going!

Yeah. I may be a little biased, but I think Arizona is a pretty amazing place! Glad you enjoyed yourself.

that is such a great "girl power" photo! Though I've got to say, you're really a glutton for punishment organizing a wedding and running MdS in the same month.

I mean, a wedding is pretty much the Marathon des Sables without the sand.
