squaw peak 09

This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity of running the Squaw Peak 50 Mile Ultra Marathon in Utah. Many years ago, this was my first ultra attempt and I have finished this race three times. I absolutly love this race and the friends that I have made along the way. And to be friends with John and Marcy Bozung who do such a terrific job taking care off all their FRIENDS and runners who enjoy these trails.

Here I am at the start of the race with BFF's George and Brad.

Up and up we climb and finially we get to the cute Boy Scouts.
Breakfast anyone?

Brad making tracks....

Enjoying the early morning.

Over looking the valley.

A view of Utah Lake

The views are breathtaking.... but don't let this picture fool you,
it was a cold morning....

Getting in some good down hill running while I can before the BIG BONK.

My good friend Q aka #5

My cute Shea-bug. She came to pace me on Hobble Creek.

George had an amazing day.

The wild flowers were outstanding.

George is gettting ready to climb up to Windy Pass...

What, a moose????? Now if I didn't act like such an idiot like I had won the lottory or something, I might have gotten a decent picture before he decided to saunter away. (well it was the lottery for me that day... amazing!)

And a wonderful finish with Shea, Cameron, Finn, Sydney, Riley, Ally and George.

Thanks cute Girls, I love my poster. It was a great day!

xoxo LC

No mention of any of the drama that ensued at Little Valley "shortly after" 2:30?

I'm wondering how to address the log crossing in my blog...
