BHS and what would you run an extra 12 miles for....

Running the Bishop High Sierra was everything that I was expecting....
and 12 miles more....

I was able to see friends which is one reason why I love to go to races.
Jennifer inspired me on this day.

Here I am with my friend Conrad.

love the outfit Chris!!!! thanks for the first mile. Always therapeutic. ha!

Mark is my favorite grilled cheese maker. Sometimes I even choose my races according to the grilled cheese sandwiches that will be made for me at the aid stations. Crust cut off of course!

I have to stop to have a picture taken with Ben and Hugh.

Linda and I have been friends for years. She is tougher then tough!
And she quilts too!

I love running through the forest and the meadows of Bishop.

My friend Gabor! 5 years coming up Gabor....

Marie, the RD's son runs a great aid station....

At the top of the course....

This year no snow on the course but plenty to look at in the mountains.

A visit with George on the way down.

Bill Dickey takes a break before finishing the 50K.

Marissa cranking it out even though she is not feeling well.

Ok, me with Dina and Manny's ear.....

This Eric ROCKS!

I was thinking about running the 100k instead, nahhhh I am thinking NOT!

This Eric is thinking maybe not too. no way man, your gonna...
and he did! Cngrats, Eric on your first 100K finish. AC here you come!

I think I changed my mind. Hurry, gotta catch Eric!

5 miles from the 50 mile finish. Thinking that I am out on the 100K.

So wait. If I finish the 50 miles, you mean I wont get to see Chris and Chris? No way man, 12 extra miles it is for me....

12 extra miles and 4 and a half hours was worth it to see these two guys!

And this is what I get for finishing DFL. Sorry Chris, you tried but I succeeded! The day was awesome. Marie Boyed did a great job. Thanks for waiting for me to finish, Geo!

The next morning, out on Whitney Portal Road with my tire for 7 hot and slow miles.... great training weekend!
