for anyone who ran Twin Peaks this past weekend, your efforts were not in vain. while we were braving ourselves against the elements, mother nature was setting herself up for a scene that many have not witnessed in their lifetime. Here i am at the foot of the Cleveland National Forrest. Indian Truck Trail to be exact. this is where Twin Peaks started last Saturday and this morning it was transformed. i could have easily been in Bishop or Utah, but this is southern California just a short drive from my home in Murrieta/Temecula. What a morning it was. as soon as i saw this sight from my bedroom balcony, i put on my running clothes and off i went....
looking out at Mt Baldy. "hi Ashley"
my lone footprints. it was awesome!

Great pics Leigh...sure doesn't look like it did last Saturday when we ran. What a fun day in the snow you must have had. Who would believe this is Southern Cal. So where's the skirt???
WOW!!!~ Guess what it is going to be snowing here in the bay area on the high peaks, I will be out there running 100k for my b-day run with Joe and Mylinh. We are starting at 5:30 am and should be done in 20 hours 20,000ft of climb should be fun. Carl wil crew us at mile 10, 31, 52 that's the only places he can meet it's remote. Wish you lived close you could of run with us.
