And she's very happy with her accomplishment. She says she had a lot of fun up through mile 95 and then things got tough; but through it all, she's very happy with how she did.
No, she did not run the 4 miles from the Portal Road station to the original Finish at Whitney Portal this morning. As my previous post stated, the road was closed for much of the night due to the fire. When Leigh finished there wasn't any talk of re-opening the road or allowing anyone to go up. She was awarded her buckle, medal, and other finisher's swag and she and the team went to their hotel. When I told her they had reopened the road and were allowing runners that had finished at 131 to go on up the rest of the way, she was quite surprised.

Well, it ends up that she did go back and finish up those last couple of miles! Way to go Leigh, you are an inspiration to us all. You are the most amazing person!! Your my Badwater Hero!!
